A little about me
Mom of two boys, microbiologist by day, and the woman answering business emails after bedtime because apparently I enjoy having absolutely no free time.
If you had told me a few years ago that I'd be starting a business, I probably would've laughed while reheating my coffee for the fourth time.
The truth is, The Village Collections wasn't born from a love of clothing. It was born from some of the hardest seasons of my life.
After years of infertility, IVF, postpartum struggles, therapy, and trying to figure out who I was after becoming a mom, I found myself asking the same question so many women ask:
Am I the only one who feels this way?
I wasn't.
What I learned through those seasons is that motherhood is beautiful, but it can also be incredibly lonely. So many of us are carrying things nobody can see. We're showing up every day, taking care of everyone around us, while quietly questioning whether we're doing enough.
I've been the mom scrolling her phone at 2 a.m. looking for reassurance. The mom crying in the shower because it was the only place nobody could find her. The mom who loved her children more than anything but still missed the person she used to be.
Therapy helped me find my way back to myself, and along the way I realized something powerful: sometimes the words we need most are the ones we rarely hear.
That's why I created The Village Collections.
Every message I create is inspired by real moments, real struggles, and real conversations. My goal has always been simple: to remind moms that they're not failing, they're not alone, and they don't have to have it all figured out.
My hope is that somewhere in the middle of a hard day, a mom comes across one of these messages and feels seen. Maybe it's exactly what she needed to hear in that moment:
You're doing a great job.
Not because you're perfect. Not because you've got it all together. But because you're carrying more than most people can see, and you're still showing up.
